LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER

Library

The Patricia C. Inskeep Library is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on school days. The collection includes an impressive collection of over 10,000 volumes in French, Spanish, German and English. The collection includes picture books, chapter books, fiction and non-fiction, magazines, videos, and books with tapes in several languages. Both the librarian and the library aide are bilingual in French and English. We encourage parents to visit the library, borrow resources, and ask for recommendations. The International Conference Center in the library is available for meetings and class use.

The children of the elementary school visit the library with their class once a week for story time in French and to check-out books. The middle school students come to the library on a regular basis with or without their teachers to do research, browse, and select books. Sixth grade students take an information literacy class.

Through the library or computer lab, the students can access Encarta Encyclopedia and an array of subscription research databases in multiple languages.
