HOW CAN I GIVE?
There are many ways you can support FAIS through gifts. Every gift to our School, regardless of its size, sends a strong message to both the internal an external communities that we are committed to our children and their education.
Gifts of Cash
Contributions made by check, cash or credit card are tax deductible in the year the gift is given. Checks should be made payable to F.A.I.S. You may make gifts by credit card online or contact the Development Office at 503-292-7776 ext 305, or email tblood@faispdx.org.
Gifts of Securities
It is becoming more and more common for donors to make gifts of securities. If the security has appreciated greatly in value, the donor entirely avoids capital gains taxes by gifting the stock directly to the School. We recommend that donors consult their financial advisor before making any final decision. For details about how to make a gift of stock, click here.
Make A Pledge
You can also pledge a gift to the Annual Fund or other areas by calling Tricia Blood, Development Director, at 503-292-7776, ext. 305, or by emailing tblood@faispdx.org. Pledges can be satisfied through a single contribution or in multiple payments, at a time that is convenient for you. If your gift is to the Annual Fund, all final payments are due no later than June 25th in the school year that your gift was pledged.
Gifts Through Your Will or Estate
You can remember FAIS by leaving a gift in your will or estate plan. There are many different techniques utilized that we would be happy to review with you on how to leave a legacy gift. Please contact Tricia Blood at 503-292-7776, ext. 305, or email tblood@faispdx.org.
In Kind Gifts
Gift In Kind donations are tangible goods and services donated to the School for which the donor can receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the item. Contact Tricia Blood at 503-292-7776, ext. 305 or email tblood@faispdx.org, when considering making such a gift, to determine our ability to use the specific item. Typical Gifts In Kind are books, laboratory and athletic equipment.
